March Goals 2019: February Recap

Can you believe that February is almost over? It is time to recap on our February goals, how did you do? Now we get to make our March 2019 goals.

Before I dig into my March 2019 goals I feel it is important to think back on how February went. I mean why make goals if we don’t check back on them, right?

My personal goals for February 2019 were:

  • Master Bathroom
  • Fill out my Be Happy Daily tracker every day
  • Be consistent with Yoga Burn
  • Go on individual dates with my kiddos

Master Bathroom

I was super excited to tackle this space. It was small and easy to do in a short amount of time. And I put myself first for a change. 🙂 I am proud to say that this goal is done, completed, and I get to check it off my list!

My bathroom looks and feels amazing! If you want to see before and after photos and read about the 6 steps to decluttering your master bathroom then head there now! Hint: this will work on any bathroom. 🙂

Fill Out My Be Happy Daily Tracker Every Day

To be honest I was a few days late in getting started with this goal. I didn’t have the pages printed up and ready to go. So of course it didn’t happen right off the bat.

Once I got them printed off for the month (that’s the important part folks, get it ready for the whole month!) I had a lot of success. There were a few days I missed but I’m human.

Some tips that helped me to be successful with writing daily: Pick the same time of the day to fill out your daily tracker. Put a reminder in your phone. Keep the pages where you can see them, for me that’s on my night stand. Keep it simple, you don’t need to write everything that happened all day long.

Be Consistent With Yoga Burn

This was a hard one for me. Yoga Burn is supposed to be done 3 times a week. So that’s not the hard part. It takes 45 minutes. Now that’s not forever, but it is harder for me to just get it done.

Some things I have tired to do to help me with this goal: Plan to do it on days that Eddy is home so the kids can go to him when they need something. Or do it when the kids are sleeping. Work out in the morning. Start on either Monday or Tuesday so I have more time throughout the week to get it done.

Individual Dates With My Kiddos

This was so much fun! I love being able to spend one on one time with each of my kids. I can feel our relationship getting stronger. I can see the light in their eyes when they get all of my attention.

My son wanted to go to the library then get ice cream. It was a blast to sit and read with him, watch him while he read books, and just hang with my little buddy. After we got home he told me that was the funnest date. Oh my heart!

March 2019 Goals

Eddy and I decided to switch months taking the kids out on dates. For now I will do one month and then Eddy will do the next month. We’ll keep rotating each month.

Now it’s onto my MARCH 2019 Goals!! Woohoo! A couple tips for you when making goals. Remember to pick 1-4 at a time or for a period of time. If you have too many then you will have a hard time accomplishing them. Write your goals down. Put them in a place you will be able to see them often. Make a plan for each goal.

Personal Goals

  1. Playroom
  2. Fill out daily food tracker
  3. Start Reading a Book With Eddy
  4. Continue filling out Be Happy Daily Tracker

Playroom

When Eddy and I started talking about March and what we wanted to do he suggested going after the garage. It is such a huge project but I was excited. But thinking about all the stuff that is in there we decided to do the playroom first.

Most of the stuff that is in the picture below (and a whole ton of other stuff not in the picture) is now in our garage. So it makes sense to to the playroom and get most of that stuff out of the garage. Then when we tackle the garage it will (hopefully) be less of task.

So I guess we are doing the playroom and starting to declutter the garage. Haha! 😉

Tackling the playroom is a much bigger project then the bathroom. This will require a better plan and a whole lot more help from Eddy and the kids. But don’t worry, we will get it done!

Fill Out Daily Food Tracker

I am so bad at this! I made a new one that went along with my Be Happy 2019 bundle. but I just don’t like it as well as I thought. It was still taking me too long to fill it out and so I stopped.

I am going back to the food container trackers I made last year. I will print out enough for the whole month. Then I will find a place in the kitchen to keep them.

I’m hoping by having a very simple food tracker I will be able to keep it up. The reason I want to track my food is to help me make better eating choices more consistently. And I want to increase my protein.

Start Reading A Book With Eddy

There are a few books that I would love to read with Eddy. We have started a few but have only finished one. The book I have in mind is called: How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk.

March 2019 Goals

Woozaa that’s a mouthful! My wonderful therapist recommended this book. I have read some of it and LOVE it. The things I want to implement from the book are great.

The problem is if it’s just me implementing them they will only be somewhat successful. However, if Eddy and I are both reading the book and doing the same things then it will have a bigger impact on our kids and family.

Continue Filling Out The Be Happy Tracker

This goal should be an easy one. I am pretty much in the habit of filling out my Be Happy Daily Trackers. I want to keep putting an effort to continue filling it out. It takes about 66 days to make something a habit. So I will keep focusing on this one until it is a habit.

I may also adjust my daily tracker. If I do then I will update it and let you know.

Work Goals

  1. Finish WordPress course and fix things on my site
  2. Plan and work on March and April posts
  3. Be more consistent with Instagram stories

Remember to check back in with yourself often as you are working on your goals. Write your goals down. Hang them in your bathroom or in a place you will see them daily. Oh, or many times a day!

Good luck on your March 2019 goals! I’d love to hear what goals you have and your plans for kicking some goal heinie!

Xoxo, Steph
