So here we are a year later and I am sharing with you how to make these awesome Halloween glass jar craft. You only need a little bit of time and a some supplies. I’m guessing you’ll have most of them at home.

Halloween Glass Jar Craft Supplies

  • Glass jars (size is up to you)
  • Gold paint
  • Orange paint
  • Paint brush
  • Water
  • White tulle
  • Googly Eyes
  • Green tissue paper
  • Black tissue paper
  • White and black construction paper
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Candle or battery operated candle (Optional)

These are the supplies for making all four Halloween glass jar crafts. If you want to make just one or a couple then get the supplies needed for the ones you want to do. The supplies and directions for each Halloween glass jar are below.

Mummy

  • Glass jar
  • White tulle
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

First you want to start in the back with gluing and wrapping the glass jar with the white tulle. You can make little glue dots as you wrap the white tulle around the glass jar. As you finish make sure you add enough glue to make the white tulle stick and stay.

Last use your glue gun to glue on two googly eyes. That’s it! Pretty easy and fun for the mummy. I love that it has a lot of texture with using the white tulle.

Gold Monster

  • Glass jar
  • Gold paint
  • Paint brush
  • Lots of googly eyes
  • Glue gun

You will want to start off my painting outside of the jar gold. But if you want to paint the inside then you will make less mess and not get as much paint on your hands. Plus while it is drying you will be able to glue lots of googly eyes all over the outside of your jar. You can do different size googly eyes or the same.

I had to do a couple coats. My left hand was inside of the jar so I could paint all around for each coat. In some places I used more paint so it would be thick enough.

Frankenstein

  • Glass jar
  • Tissue paper – green and black
  • Glue gun
  • white and black construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Mod Podge
  • Paint brush

Start this cute Frankenstein Halloween glass jar by ripping small to medium size green tissue paper. Then paint some Mod Podge onto the outside of the jar. Use a piece of ripped green tissue paper to press over the area you Mod Podged. Continue doing this until the whole outside of the glass jar is covered with green tissue paper.

Then do the same thing with the black tissue paper on the top part of the jar. You can start at the top and go down an inch or two. I did not have any black tissue paper but I found a black thick ribbon. We were leaving to go out of town so I improvised.

Cut out a face with your black and white construction paper. Mod Podge it onto your jar. You can leave it at that or seal the tissue paper by painting Mod Podge onto the outside of all the tissue and construction paper. This will help protect it and keep it looking nice for longer.

Pumpkin

  • Glass jar
  • Water
  • Orange paint
  • paint brush
  • Two googly eyes
  • Black paper
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

You will want to paint the inside of the jar orange. In order to make it a more transparent orange mix water into the orange paint to get the desired color.

When the paint is drying you can cut out a mouth and nose (optional) with your black paper. Glue on the mouth, nose, and googly eyes. That’s it! You’re done.

You can put candles or battery operated candles into the jars to give them more ambiance. These would look awesome on your porch steps, on a table or shelf. What other fun places could you showcase your newly done Halloween glass jar craft??

In case you don’t have some of the supplies I have links to Amazon so you can get them right away and get started making your Halloween glass jar crafts.

These are nice because they are a sticker googly eye. I would still use glue to adhere them onto the jars. They will stick and stay much better.

I hope you have a blast making these darling Halloween glass jar crafts! They would be fun to make along, with friends, or your kiddos. Either way, have fun!

Xxx, Steph
