The Only List You’ll Need for Valentine Gifts
Date Night In
Have a spa night, movie night, picnic on the floor kind of night in. These dates can be fun, done after the littles are in bed, and won’t cost too much.
Here are some fun gifts or ideas that will make your date night in awesome!
Date Night Out
There are literately endless possibilities. But, in keeping with budget friendly ideas here we go:
- Movie and dinner
- Recreate your first date
- Each pick one thing (dinner or activity)
- Fast food/drive through: 5 course meal
- Dancing
- Walk around the town
- Bike ride
- Snowshoeing, cross country skiing, downhill skiing (cheap if you already have the equipment and ski passes, or renting may be in your budget)
- Drive inn movie
- Ice skating
- Play
- Laser tag
- Ax throwing
- Use gift cards you have laying around
- Find a coupon to something you haven’t tried
With a little bit of thought and some creativity you can come up with a fun and inexpensive Valentine’s date out on the town.
Gifts Galore
This is where the fun begins! Maybe only one of you gets a gift for the other and switch off each year. You can give each other a limit on how much you can spend. Or maybe you save your money and go out and spend time together instead of buying gifts.
You can use that money to go towards something you both want and need. Put it towards a trip or getaway. But, if you really want to do Valentine gifts for or with your love one, GO FOR IT!

Hi and thank you for this list
Our family love to celebrate valentines day, the kids all get something small and we make sure we spoil each other so this list has got me thinking what to get my man this year.
Oh yay!! I’m glad it was helpful. My mom usually does a fun Valentine’s Day dinner and gets the table all decked out, super fun!
We don’t usually do gifts for Valentine’s Day but these are great suggestions for those that do.
Thanks Allison! 🙂
I used to always try and come up with a inexpensive gift for Valentine’s day when my kids were little. Your post makes me want to do something new and exciting with my hubby this year. Something that wont cost an arm and a leg! Thanks!
You’re so very welcome! It can be a pricey holiday for sure! But I believe it can still be amazing without spending a ton. 🙂 Good luck finding something fun to do with your hubby!
These are all really good ideas.
Thank you Kat! 🙂
I have the “Letters for my Child” one! It’s super cute!
Oh really? Would you recommend it?
I so wanna do the snowshoeing and the ax throwing that sounds cool!
Snowshoeing is a blast! I’ve done ax throwing once in the summer (without Eddy) and I was horrible! I’d love to try again. 🙂
Great gift ideas! Hubby and I are in out 60s so we appreciate the options like the Date Night In!
Thank you! 🙂 Date nights in are so much fun.
